Game Changer - Improve Cannabis with Dual Red Peaks
A study from Wageningen University showed that combining 640nm and 660nm wavelengths significantly improves light use efficiency (LUE), dry matter yield in cannabis cultivation. This is because chlorophyll b absorbs most at around 642nm, while chlorophyll a peaks at around 663nm, that makes the red spectrum of light better absorbed by the plant (Quote:
The Role of Red and White Light: "Dual Red Peaks at 640nm and 660nm Significantly Increases Flower Weight").
Key benefits of Double Red Peak:
- Optimize photosynthesis efficiency – Enhances PSI and PSII activity by targeting chlorophyll absorption peaks, promoting faster and healthier plant growth (Journal of Plant Physiology, 2022).
- Increased cannabinoid production – Research shows that 640nm and 660nm spectrums help increase THC and CBD concentrations (Frontiers in Plant Science, 2023).
- Higher yield and dry matter weight – Research confirms that Double Red Peak LEDs outperform single red light output, producing heavier, more terpenes on cannabis flowers (Horticultural Lighting Research, 2021).
- Enhanced canopy penetration – Combining 640nm for upper leaves and 660nm for deeper penetration improves lower bud development, ensuring even growth (Journal of Horticulture, 2020).

Despite the dual red peaks, we also created a wider broad-spectrum, including:
1. 437nm blue light – Samsung LM301H Evo Mint White released, essential for promoting plant growth, terpene biosynthesis and plant health.
2. 3500K color temperature – a “white light” full-spectrum light source with high ppfd output.
3. 730nm near-infrared – enhances the Emerson effect, increases photosynthesis rate, promotes elongation, improves flower formation, and light penetrates leaves (Journal of Plant Science, 2021).
For different growers' needs, we have built 3 different power outputs on the Aurora Pro LED, 720W, 820W and 1000W, which can be used for commercial indoor cultivation and personal cultivation.
